Taking a bench top process, initially conceived around the family kitchen table, the I2R group had the ability to upscale the process to a full-scale facility capable of 6,000 bottles per hour.
Using the conceptual plans for the factory, our engineers created a fully functioning, small scale, laboratory sized model for the pilot. Once we’d satisfied the ‘proof of concept’ we then worked closely with the owners on the factory fit-out.
We had to plan and deliver all electrical, control and automation systems for each of the key procedures in producing almond milk - grinding, decanting, pasteurisation, filtering, production and bottling. We also helped the client to select and procure all equipment, P&ID diagrams, set budgets and manage the finances for construction and fit-out. A summary of the work we completed included:
